Denzell White’s Success Story
Denzell White came to us in 2016 looking for employment opportunities that would help him pay for his college expenses. Shortly after, he enrolled in our young adult employment program, completed a job readiness workshop, received security training (at no cost to him), and was ultimately placed in a security position. When Denzell showed interest in joining the military, he applied his learned skills to excel in the U.S. Army National Guard.

Priscilla W. started our Comprehensive Employment Services program in October 2018. With a passion for fashion and 15+ years in the industry, she decided to attend our three-day workshop to meet with job developers and be matched with companies and positions. After just one month, she became a brand ammbassador for Banana Republic, where she is currently thriving.
In March 2018, Jordan Levy was referred to us by a homeless shelter and enrolled in our youth employment program. After completing our job readiness workshop, a job developer sent him to Horsepower Electric, where he started as an electrician’s apprentice. Four months later Jordan was promoted to a manager position.
Our Nassau Comprehensive Employment Services program helped Nicole, a single mother, when she first came to us in May 2017. She worked closely with a Career Service Coordinator (CSC), and by May 2018, started working as a full-time sales associate at Home Depot. Now, with our assistance, she’s also tackling her education goals to get a TASC/GED.
